A leading national housebuilder ordered timber stair balustrading from British Stairways for approximately 17 individual stairwells, within a new-build development of three-storey, timber frame residential apartments.
British Stairways used components in American Oak to manufacture the balustrade which needed to satisfy common staircase regulations. The company uses Oak balustrading for the majority of its common area staircases, as Simon Kemp explains: “As well as being compliant with the Building Regulations for common area staircases, the Oak system is a good quality product that you can rely on to deliver a superb quality finish. Having personally been involved in the manufacture of staircases for more than 30 years, When you are working with national housebuilders and discerning private customers with high expectations, you need to be confident that you are working with the finest quality timber and with a quality guarantee.”
